A £4.5MILLION transport hub has opened in Nelson.
The new interchange, off Railway Street and Broadway, connects the town’s bus and railway stations and offers advice to walkers and cyclists.
Council chiefs hope the new facility will bring more people to Pendle and inspire motorists to use public transport more.
Pendle Council leader John David said: “This will mean travellers don’t have to use a drafty, dreary, dismal old bus station that we’ve had for donkey’s years.
"Now the building is comfortable and convenient.”
The new facility includes a covered concourse leading to 10 bus stands, a direct link to the railway station and a new passenger lift.
