Thwaites star lights up Blackburn
THE Thwaites Christmas star is again lighting the skies above Blackburn.
The brewery star marks the coming of Christmas each year – and this time the brewer asked a representative of one of Blackburn’s finest sons, Alfred Wainwright, to help them out.
John Nicoll, managing director of Frances Lincoln, the publishers of the Wainwright books, pulled the switch to turn on the light on behalf of the Wainwright family.
Sales and marketing director at Thwaites, Brian Jenkins, said: “The star can be seen for miles around.”
