ALCOHOL confiscated from boozing football fans has been donated to a Territorial Army group for their Christmas celebrations.
Police took 10 crates of lager, a bottle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of black vodka from Sunderland fans on a coach heading to the recent game against Blackburn Rovers.
The coach’s driver was also issued with a warning for allowing the fans to drink onboard.
The unopened alcohol has now been given to the Territorial Army centre, Canterbury Street, Blackburn.
It is thought it will be raffled to raise funds for charity.
