Haslingden Christmas lights switched on
Haslingden has entered into the Christmas spirit with the switch on of its festive lights yesterday.
The event took place outside the library on Higher Deardengate where Haslingden High School and St Veronica’s RC Primary School pupils sang carols.
Mayor of Rossendale, Coun Christine Gill, Father Christmas, and arts competition winner, Erin Wilson, eight, shared the honour of turning on the lights.
