HUMAN rights charity Amnesty International said 99 per cent of senior schools in Lancashire are set to join in ‘Our Rights Birthday’ celebrations this year.
The celebrations are designed to mark the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The schools have all signed up to take Amnesty’s new DVD, Human Rights Are Our Rights.
Jo Cobley, head of the education and students team, said: “The response has been phenomenal.
"The anniversary falls on December 10, but schools can take part in the celebrations of ‘Our Rights’ any time between now and the end of term.”
