A SOCCER-skills star from Longridge has broken a world record for his “around the world” trick.
John Farnworth, 22, broke his own record of 83 repetitions of the move in one minute, managing 85 on the Sky One Guinness World Records Smashed show.
John, who lives in Longridge, has seen his football freestyle skills take him to locations in Thailand, Holland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and America.
He said: “I'm going out to Madrid in December to try and break another record and then to Dubai.”
The Sky One show, presented by Ben Shephard and Fearne Cotton, saw John complete the world record.
John's trick is kicking the ball in the air and then looping his kicking foot over the ball after each touch.
