DOZENS of shoppers at a Burnley supermarket met police officers during a special surgery.
Customers at Asda raised concerns during the ‘PACT’ meeting, with police saying they got lots of information out of the session.
PCSO Graham Lloyd said: “The surgery went really well and we spoke to a lot of people, many of whom would never normally come along to a police meeting.
“Several key issues came across. One of those issues was the speed of motorists driving around Daneshouse and Stoneyholme, something which we will be addressing later this month as part of Operation Pathway, our drive to reduce road casualties.
“Another issue was teen drinking, again something we are now tackling with increased patrols.
“I would like to thank those who stopped to talk to us and tell us their concerns.”
