A MAN who died after suffering burns to half his body during a fire at a hotel has been named by police.
Paul Barker, 53, died overnight at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, after suffering the horrific injuries in a blaze at the Devonshire Hotel, Bridge Street, Blackburn, on Friday morning.
Firefighters managed to drag the man from a second floor bedroom where he found lying unconscious as the blaze raged around him.
He was rescued shortly before 8am on Friday suffering from 50 per cent burns, injuries that turned out to be fatal.
Police said that his family had been notified.
