A PUB landlady is appealing for local businesses to donate prizes for a ‘life-changing’ charity event.
Karen Lee, from the Mill Gap, in Bolton Road, Darwen, has organised a charity auction for a ‘child in need’.
And cash raised will be donated to local boy Connor Robson, seven, who Karen said had suffered brain damage from birth.
She said: “We are happy to be raising money for Connor’s family.
“We plan to raise enough to buy him a ceiling projector that will project shapes on to his bedroom wall.
“Connor is a lovely little boy and will benefit from the projector, which has proved to be very expensive.
“He deserves to have a smile on his face for Christmas.”
The charity auction is on Saturday, December 6 at noon and local customers are chipping in to help raise as much money as possible.
