AROUND 500 Burnley schoolchildren are this week being taught how to avoid becoming an accident victim with the help of technology seen on a popular TV quiz show.
The pupils, from 11 schools across the borough, are taking part in an NHS East Lancashire-backed scheme.
The youngsters will answer questions on hand-sets similar to those used on Who Wants to be a Millionaire before taking part in exercises designed to make them more aware.
Then the pupils will be invited to retake the test in the hope that they have become more safety-savvy.
The events are being held at Burnley Youth Theatre, in Queen’s Park Road.
