SCHOOLBOY comic Lewis Costello is continuing in his bid to become the next Peter Kay with a gig at Burnley Mechanics.
The 15-year-old wannabe comedian performed a five-minute set at Blackburn's sell-out Frog and Bucket Comedy Club show earlier this month after begging show bosses for a slot.
And after a good reception from the audience at King George's Hall, Lewis, of Wilpshire, Blackburn vowed to pursue his comedy career.
Now after contacting Burnley Mechanics he has been given a five-minute set opening The Comedians show starring veteran Frank Carson.
A spokesman for the show, on Sunday, November 30, said: "Lewis said one of his favourite comedians is Frank Carson so we thought it'd be nice to let him come and perform.
