TWO men helped themselves to scrap from a Clitheroe tyre centre compound without permission.
Blackburn magistrates heard the men were seen loading batteries and exhausts onto their pickup at night but were caught by police as they left Clitheroe.
Dean Andrew Ingram, 21, of Russell Terrace, Padiham, and Michael Francis Shaw, 22, of Levant Street, Padiham, pleaded guilty to theft from ATS Euromaster.
Ingram was handed a four month curfew order between 9pm and 7am and ordered to spend 16 hours at an attendance centre.
Shaw was given a two month curfew from 9pm and 7am, and ordered to spend eight hours at an attendance centre.
Imran Hussain, defending, said his clients had previously collected scrap from the tyre centre with permission.
