A FOOTBALL team has been left short after their entire kit was stolen.
The Rishton Arms Sunday league team has their shirts, shorts and socks stolen from the pick-up truck of the manager.
Boss Dale McVarish, 43, who runs local building supplies and skip hire business B&M in Great Harwood, said he has been left shocked by the incident.
He said: “I bought the kit in the summer and it cost over £500. It’s really left us out of pocket.
“In truth we’re a bit mystified. I’m not if the people who did this actually realised they were stealing a whole football kit. There were some tracksuits at the top of the bag so maybe they thought they were getting some training gear.”
The theft happened on Saturday night when Mr McVarish’s truck was parked in Town Hall Street. The kit bag was in the back of the truck.
The kit is a Pro Star make and is blue and black stripes in the style of Inter Milan. The logo B&M Skip Hire is emblazoned on the front of the shirts.
