POLICE in Burnley teamed up with the DVLA to crack down on untaxed cars.
Officers in the Trinity and Brunshaw areas of the town clamped 33 cars and seized another two during a two-day operation on vehicles without valid tax discs.
PCSO Chris Jackson, who covers the Trinity ward, said: “This operation has been running for some time now and will continue in the near future.
“Vehicle owners are reminded that if your vehicle is not taxed, you will get clamped or your vehicle will be lifted and seized.”
PCSO Jackson urged anyone with information about untaxed vehicles to contact police on 01282 425001 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Owners of vehicles seized by the DVLA must pay an £80 release fee and provide a valid tax disc or risk having it crushed.
