A NEW website has been created by health watchdogs for patients to make complaints about doctors.
The General Medical Council has launched a new online inform-ation centre, Patients’ help, to let patients know who to contact when they have a concern about a doctor.
The GMC is one of several organisations that patients can contact when they have a concern about a doctor. It deals with complaints that bring an individual doctor's fitness to practise into question.
Paul Philip, director of standards and fit-ness to practise at GMC, said: “The vast majority of doctors are good doctors who work in partnership with their patients.
“But, when things go wrong patients need to know where to turn. We recognise that it can be a stressful time for patients when they have a grievance with a doctor.”
