POLICE officers will patrol a town centre over Christmas to crackdown on vandals who spray painted fascist symbols on a house.
A house in the Woone Lane area of Clitheroe was daubed with Nazi swastikas in a mindless act of vandalism.
Sgt Rob Evans of Clitheroe Police said he believes this was a one-off incident but would do all he could to catch the culprits.
He said: “Officers will be displaying a high visibility presence in the town in the run up to Christmas as well as being undercover to make sure members of the public are reassured as much as possible.
“In addition, leaflets have been delivered to 300 homes in the area to raise awareness.”
Anyone with information regarding the graffiti incident should ring 01200 443344 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
