EAST Lancashire Samaritans are visiting schools as part of National Anti-Bullying Week.
Volunteers from the Samaritans of Pendle, Craven, Burnley and Rossendale will be giving talks in primary schools to help victims of bullying. They will also offer secondary schools teaching packs so teachers can help pupils cope.
Volunteer Janet Smith said: “The key message we want to get across is: if you are being bullied, whatever you do, don’t bottle up your feelings.
“We hope that, by learning the importance of their emotional health and by starting to develop simple, practical ways of coping, children will be equipped to face life’s problems.
