EAST Lancashire residents are being encouraged to put forward health professionals who they think should be honoured with an award for their everyday activity.
It could be a community-based team or an individual who has made a difference to a patient’s quality of life or their treatment.
Last year, members of the public put forward several entries for NHS East Lancashire’s ‘Excellence In Practice’ awards, with two entries shortlisted for the finals, including the primary care trust’s heart failure nursing team and also the treatment room nurses at one of the area’s health centres.
Both teams were commended for their contribution to improv-ing local community health provision.
Now, people are reminded they have until November 30 to put forward entries for this year’s awards to presen-ted in late January.
Award categories are for lifetime achievement, championing diversity, team of the year, impact through practice, excellence in engagement, tackling health inequalities, innovation, raising standards, health ambassador, partnership award, and the unsung hero award.
For details on how to nominate, visit www.eastlancspct.nhs.uk or Katie Stephenson at NHS East Lancashire on 01282 610220.
