THE people of Bacup will soon get the chance to design their town centre.
Local residents are being encouraged to meet the designers behind the plans to improve St James Square, before the project gets underway.
The designers are keen to ask locals what they would like to see, and experience, in the town centre square in the future.
The new scheme is part of the Pennine Lancashire Squared competition, which aims to improve various town centres across Pennine Lancashire.
Bacup was chosen to take part in the scheme, which is being commissioned by the regeneration agency Elevate, who work with partners from the public and private sectors to improve the housing market in Pennine Lancashire.
The drop-in sessions will be held from 10am to noon on Saturday, November 22, at Green Vale Homes, Tenant Management Office, at 26 to 28, St James Street.
