FIVE men were arrested after a fight in Blackburn.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on St Thomas Street at about 5pm.
Nobody was seriously hurt but a metal bar was found when officers searched the area in daylight today.
The five men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
Detective Inspector Jill Johnston said: “I would appeal for anyone who saw anything to contact us. Inquiries are ongoing and I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area last night and has information, to come forward so I can establish what has happened.
“We also received information about weapons which is why we sealed the street off in order to search it in daylight. On completion of the search we have found a metal bar but as yet, I am not sure if this is linked.
“I would like to reassure members of the public that this incident appears to be between people who are known to each other.”
