MORE than 200 people dressed in pink and black for a ball in aid of a Pendle charity.
The Pink Lady’s Challenge, took place at The Fence Gate Inn, Fence, to raise money for Pendleside Hospice, based at Reedley.
A cheque for £10,000 was presented in memory of Sarah Leach.
Ruth Leach, Sarah’s mother, paid tribute to the 220 people who attended the ball.
She said: “We would especially like to thank local businesses, friends and family for their support.”
Chris Leach, Sarah’s father, said: “We hope to make this an annual event in memory of Sarah.”
The hospice, which provides care to local people suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, costs more than £2.4 million a year to maintain, with more than £1.6 million from events and donations.
