  • Staff and pupils at Barrowford CP in Nelson will dress as Victorians.
  • Mayor of Pendle Coun Shelagh Derwent will be going the extra mile by cheering on indoor exercise bikers
  • Youngsters at Audley Infants School in Blackburn all brought teddies to school with 50p donations.
  • Staff and children from Padiham Green Primary School will dress as pirates.
  • Children, staff and parents at Beehive Nursery in Blackburn are taking part in ‘dunk the deputy’ covering deputy manager Rebecca Lowe, 24, in buckets of water and bowls of rice pudding.
  • Accountants from PM+M in Blackburn and Burnley will swap their business suits for chef whites and cook up a big breakfast.
  • Staff at Blackburn Enterprise Centre on Furthergate will be dressing in pyjamas for the day.
  • Staff at Colne’s Asda have organised a marathon bag pack in return for donations from customers.
  • At Blackburn with Darwen Council, Ismail Hasham is going bald for the cause with a sponsored head shave. The 25-year-old is even considering “trimming” his beard that has adorned his chin since 2005 if he raises enough money.
  • Trainees from Blackburn Rovers Academy raised money for Children in Need by packing customers’ bags at Morrisons, Blackburn last night.
  • Lancashire Telegraph staff will be wearing hats throughout the day.
  • Crown Paints and Sandtex, Hollins Road, Darwen, will be selling slices of Pudsey cake donated to them by Sayers Bakery tonight in aid of Children in Need.
