CHILDREN in Pendle are invited to take part in free workshops with an artist who boasts international recognition.
Local artist Shahida Ahmed is leading the sessions every Saturday, at The Hoopoe Club, Williams Hall, Barkerhouse Road, Nelson.
Workshops include story telling, visual arts, music and performance, and children are divided into different age groups.
The club was founded by ceramic artist Shahida in November, 2005, and is dedicated to teaching children through creative methods.
Children should attend Williams Hall, with two passport photos, between noonm and 3pm on Saturday to enrol on the sessions.
The project is funded by Fare Share Trust, supported by Walton Lane children’s centre and managed by a qualified teacher.
