THE family of a dad-of-four killed on a notorious East Lancashire road have paid tribute to a man who “worshipped his family”.
Jonathan Salter, 46, died in hospital earlier this month after a collision in Keighley Road, Laneshawbridge, which saw his car flip onto its roof.
Mr Salter, of Bingley, West Yorkshire, was travelling towards Colne in his Land Rover when the accident happened.
In a statement released through police, his heart-broken family remembered the bank worker who was a massive fan of rugby and the outdoors.
They said: “Jonathan was a larger than life character.
“He lived for and worsh-ipped his family and his tragic and unnecessary death has left an enormous void in our lives which we will never be able to fill.
“Jonny was the type of person who always wanted to do the right thing by people.
“He always did whatever he could to help not only his family and friends but also work colleagues and often strangers.
“Jonny would always tell his partner Sally how lucky they were and how totally happy he was and how he loved his life.
“He would never have wanted to leave.”
Mr Salter leaves his partner Sally, and children Charlotte, 21, Christopher, 18, Emily, 17, and 20-month-old Joe.
