A REVELLER was hospitalised after she was attacked by a “grubby looking” man, police said.
THe 23-year-old was getting food in the Roxy’s 43 takeaway, in Hammerton Street, Burnley, at around 4.20am on Sunday after a night out with friends.
However, she then got into an altercation with a man who attacked her, police said.
She was punched in the mouth and smashed against the wall, leaving her a cut to the inside of the mouth and a small bump on her head.
The woman, from Colne, was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital as a precaution but was released later.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the assault.
The man is described as white, medium build, grubby looking and wearing a striped jumper.
