A ‘SOPHISTICATED’ cannabis factory has been uncovered by police at a rented house in Great Harwood.
Officers found 200 plants after neighbours complained to the landlord about the ‘strong smell‘ coming from the property in Game Street.
After receiving the information on Friday, police raided the home at 3pm that afternoon.
Sergeant Stuart Banks, of Great Harwood police, said they discovered the ‘sophisticated’ cannabis factory.
Officers found heating and ventilation units as well as air conditioning.
Sgt Banks said: “Neighbours told the landlord about the smell of cannabis coming from the property he then contacted police.
“We have then conducted a search and discovered a sophisticated cannabis factory with over 200 plants.”
Sgt Banks said they would like to speak to a white man believed to be in his late 30s with short black hair and a tanned complexion who was seen visiting the premises.
And he is urging anyone with information about a dark blue Vauxhall Astra-type van seen at the property to contact them.
