New Darwen landlord Jamie Mac is planning a novel way to empty his pub at closing time.

He’s going to start singing! “That’ll clear ‘em out,” he laughed. Jamie, a club singer with a sharp comic touch, and his wife Gail opened up at the George Hotel, Hollins Grove, this week.

Gail said: “We have some great groups and entertainers lined up and Jamie can always sing a couple of songs if we get desperate.”
