A CHEF who has worked with Gordon Ramsey and Gary Rhodes has been appointed at Rosins Country Pub, Hotel and Restaurant, Darwen.

Carl Boyd is the new head chef at the Pickup Bank establishment and will lead the catering team.

Carl started with the Thistle Group, winning Chef of the Year for a consecutive two years.

Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the most respected head chefs in the UK including Andrew Griffiths, a holder of the three rosettes for the Wild Boar in Cheshire, and celebrity chefs Rhodes and Ramsey.

Carl is especially proud to have worked with Rhodes on his signature dishes ‘A Touch of Rhodes’ and spent time at Claridges with Ramsey.

He said: “Working with the likes of Gary and Gordon opens your eyes to the standard and quality of food which can be produced.

“At Rosins, my aim is to take certain aspects of this approach and introduce affordable, quality food to customers.”
