THE DARWEN East Rural ward is getting a new Police Community Support Officer.
Leigh-Anne McCool, 26, joins the Darwen Neighbourhood Policing team to work alongside PC Steve Jeffrey and PC Roger Morris.
She said: “I am really looking forward to being part of the community, and helping local people target the problems in their area.”

She will also be holding regular Police and Communities Together (PACT) surgeries.
