THE premiere of a police DVD aimed at reducing bus shelter vandalism was held at an Accrington school.

The Tagged for Life film, produced in partnership with Lancashire County Council, the Crown Prosecution Service and other agencies, was shown to pupils at St Christopher’s High School.

The film was made after a crackdown on vandalism on buses reduced related crime by 85per cent, but revealed damage to bus shelters was being under reported.

The DVD educates youngsters about the consequences of committing criminal damage.

Its title reflects that daubing graffiti tags on bus shelters could lead to a criminal conviction and have a long-lasting effect on your life.
