A PROSPECTIVE Rossendale MP has slammed the county council after it spent £8,000 hiring a helicopter to move gravel around a quarry.
Jake Berry, Tory candidate for Ross-endale and Darwen, has revealed Lancashire County Council bosses paid £8,000 for the hire of the aircraft to move move bags of gravel in Lee Quarry, in Bacup.
Mr Berry said: “I was contacted by concerned residents about the cost”
