WEATHER forecasters predict the cold snap will ease after it snowed in parts of East Lancashire yesterday.
Temperatures plunged to -4C early on, causing a heavy overnight frost.
One man died on the M65 while there 30 other minor crashes on East Lancashire's roads.
But now forecasters say it should be mostly dry and bright except for a patch of rain.
Tom Tobler, a forecaster with MeteoGroup, said: “It will stay cold for the next few days.
“Later in the weekend, maybe into next week, temperatures might return more towards average, but we haven’t got anything looking like warm weather.”
