GUESTS were invited to learn more about the work of the freemasons in Rossendale at an open day in Rawtenstall.
Lodge members at the Masonic Hall, Ashday Lea, Haslingden Road, threw open their doors so visitors could discover how the ancient order works across many differents areas in 21st century East Lancashire.
The masons are among the foremost fundraisers in the area.
The Rossendale district is part of the Province of East Lancashire, which dates back to 1826.
