EAST Lancashire people raised cash and awareness for breast cancer with events across the area.
For Breast Cancer Awareness Day on Friday, Blackburn College students took to the streets with collection buckets and painted faces, while pupils at Mount Carmel RC High School, Accrington, held a pink day.
And Blackburn Rovers star Matt Derbyshire got in on the act when he visited the Range Home, Leisure and Garden Centre in the town, where all the staff were dressed in pink to mark the day.
Matt donated a pair of signed football boots to the store’s charity raffle.
