A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital suffering serious head and leg injuries following a two-car crash.
The 23-year-old man was knocked down at 12.20am on Manchester Road, Haslingden, in a crash involving two cars. He was taken to Fairfield General Hospital in Bury.
As paramedics left the scene, the hospital was put on standby as the injuries were thought were thought to be serious.
Two fire crews from Lancashire Fire and Rescue attended but did not need to cut anyone from their vehicles.
Fire crews stayed on the scene following the accident to make the scene safe.
