GORDON Prentice, Pendle MP, is backing a call for better access to treatment for rheum-atoid arthritis sufferers after meeting with chief executive of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, Ailsa Bosworth.
Mr Prentice said: “I am concerned that guidance from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence is limiting the range of drug treatments available.
Costs to the UK assoc-iated with the condition, around £4billion a year including work-related disability, must surely be taken into consideration.”
