A WOMAN must have plastic surgery after her lip was savagely bitten off in a pub brawl.
The victim from Colne, had been drinking in the Union, Market Street, when she got into a dispute with another woman.
An ambulance was called when the woman sunk her teeth into the victim’s lip, causing her to bleed heavily.
She was taken to Airedale Hospital but was later transferred to Bradford Hospital where she will have plastic surgery.
Police attended at 2am on Sunday. A 46-year-old woman from Colne was arrested and is being questioned by police.
Inspector John Fryer, of Nelson CID, said: “We are looking at CCTV footage.
"The pub has a late licence so there would have been many customers in there at that time.”
