OVER 2,000 people steamed into King George’s Hall, Blackburn, over the weekend to visit a world of miniature trains.
There were over 150 different trains on show — including Thomas the Tank Engine — at the 43rd exhibition held by the Blackburn and East Lancashire Model Railway Society.
Exhibitors had created handmade layouts based on real stations, which were re-created using old photographs Secretary of the club, Jeff Baldwin, has been involved with the exhibition since 1965, said: “A lot of people have come here — young and old, but especially young families.
“There’s a great new digital computer control station on display here of the Great Endon track.”
