A BURNLEY pub has raised over £2,500 for a Pendle charity through a range of events over a six-month period.
Regulars at the Commercial Inn, in Harle Syke, have raised money for Pendleside Hospice, based at Reedley, with a golf day, trolley dash, bike ride, head shave and various collecting boxes.
They presented a cheque for £2,734 to fundraising manager at the hospice Kaye Bartle. The events were led by landlord Brian Parker and the pub has now set a target of £50,000 that they wish to raise for the charity.
The next big event will be a party to celebrate Hallowe’en on Friday October 31.
