A MAN has been charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's home.
Patrick Felloni had to be rescued by firemen from a flat in St James Close, Church, after a blaze broke out at the property.
Three engines were called to the scene to tackle the flames at 2.11pm on Friday.
Two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and lounge were all damaged by smoke.
Felloni was given oxygen and taken to hospital before being arrested by police on suspicion of arson. The 29-year-old, of Midland Street, Accrington , was charged with the offence, along with criminal damage, the following day.
