A STROKE charity has received £4,000 from the Premier League as part of a new community initiative.
The donation to the Stroke Association in Blackburn will be used to provide grants to stroke survivors who may need to buy household appliances or mobility aids.
The cash has come from the Places for Players initiative which is backed by Blackburn Rovers.
Julie Ainscow, from The Stroke Association, said: “We’re very grateful for the support of the Premier League.
"This money will help to pay for items, which will help to improve the quality of life and make every day life easier for stroke survivors.’ "The charity meets in Blackburn at the Carers’ Centre, Oakenhurst Road.
