TWO men were assaulted in Blackburn as they made their way home from the gym.
The pair, both aged 19, were punched and kicked by three men in Audley Range near Donbay Street on Tuesday night.
One of the men suffered a broken nose, a fractured jaw and cuts to his head and the other man suffered cuts and bruises.
An investigation is underway and two local men, age 35 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Whitehead said: "Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident although I would continue to urge anyone with information or who saw the attack to contact us.
"We are keeping an open mind as to a motive for the attack but we are treating it very seriously."
