RESIDENTS are invited to the next Lancashire Police Authority community meeting on October 20 at 7pm at Stoops and Hargher Clough Community Centre in Burnley.
Reports on the agenda include Neighbourhood Watch, community safety and policing in Burnley.
At the last meeting it was reported that a £35,000 saving in ambulance services had been achieved with the opening of the Retreat and Recovery Centre. The Youth Bus had also been working well with 222 people accessing it in one weekend – volunteers are needed to support it.
Last year Operation Summer Nights had included 174 visits to licensed premises, 22 test purchases and 156 notices for disorder being issued.
