TEENAGERS from 12 schools across Lancashire will compete to design and build model prototypes for a new aircraft at the Aircelle Make it Enterprising Schools Challenge in Burnley.

They will also be tasked with marketing their aircraft as part of a creative challenge set by Burnley-based Aircelle, which designs and manufactures engine components for leading aircraft manufacturers and airlines worldwide.

The free event is part of The Manufacturing Institute’s Make It in Manufacturing campaign to attract talented young people into industry.
