POLICE are investigating after a man claimed he was robbed in his home in Darwen.
The Hilton Road resident was taken to hospital suffering from cuts and bruises after the alleged incident at about 9.30pm on Sunday.
Detectives said the man told them the robber took cash and made off in the victim’s black Vauxhall Corsa, which they recovered yesterday morning.
A spokesman said: “We are investigating an allegation that a man was robbed in an address in Hilton Road and a large quantity of cash was stolen.”
