SHOPPERS at Rawtenstall market on Thursday can meet local police officers.
The county’s neighbourhood policing van will be at the market between 10am and 3pm so residents can bring up concerns or ask questions.
The visit by officers is part of the nationwide Not in My Neighbourhood campaign, which aims to raise awareness of community policing.
PC Martin Gallagher said: “Every single area of the Rossendale Valley now has its own dedicated neighbourhood policing team consisting of community beat managers like myself, PCSOs and response officers.
“Although not everyone realises it, there is a huge range of people working together to keep neighbourhoods safe.”
