A man who was facing a wounding charge has appeared in court accused of murder.
It follows the death of 56 year old Ronnie Walker four weeks after an alleged assault.
James McGuire, 23, formerly of Sackville Street, Nelson, was originally charged with wounding with intent.
Mr Walker lived at Hareden Brook Close, Audley, Blackburn.
The case was adjourned until December 19.
