BLACKBURN parents face fines if their parked cars are a danger to pupils near schools.
Police and teachers in Blackburn have joined forces to ensure trips to and from school are as safe as possible.
For the next two weeks police will crack down on those who park badly.
Fines will be handed out in the Wensley Fold, Bank Top, Billinge, Corporation Park, Revidge, Lammack, Pleckgate and Beardwood areas.
Sgt Jason Middleton said: “The start of the new school year is the perfect time to try to educate parents and children.”
Parents can tell police about persistent poor parkers by calling a dedicated hotline on 01254 353959 or e-mailing details to Blackburn.sc hoolparking@lancashire.pnn.police.uk
