WHITEBIRK’S annual carnival has brought in extra shelters to avoid a wash-out this weekend.
The event, organised by Whitebirk and Intack Residents’ Association, will not be hosting a parade this year and members have decided to use a giant marquee and a number of gazebos to provide more shelter than usual.
Included in the line-up of fun family activities will be bouncy boxing, a bouncy castle, gladiator duels, belly dancers, penalty shoot-outs, adult body-suit sumo wrestling and a fancy dress competiton for all ages.
The community organisation also hosts regular days out for families in the area.
For more information or to make a donation, contact the centre on 675459.
The carnival takes place between 1pm and 4pm at Whitebirk Playing Field, Hereford Road, on Sunday.
