FIFTEEN parks in East Lancashire have been awarded a prestigious Green Flag.
Four parks have taken the prize for the first time, in a new list announced today.
The parks are:
Blackburn
Corporation Park, Queen’s Park, Roe Lee Park and Witton Country Park.
Darwen
Sunnyhurst Woods.
Hyndburn
Gatty Park in Church, Mercer Park in Great Harwood and Oakhill Park in Accrington.
Burnley
Queen's Park, Scott Park, Thompson Park and Towneley Park in Burnley and Padiham Memorial Park.
Pendle
Barrowford Park and Marsden Park in Nelson.
